Sometimes I hear a song and I would start to hum
It seems so wrong … I feel so numb
I’m filled with guilt but I know I’m- not -to -blame
Life is not the same

Life goes on but what good would it do
It’s so different ---without you … without you

So I raised my hands to the sky
Unanswered questions, I get no reply
Tell me the reason give me a sign
Answer me my child of mine
Please answer me my child of mine

You had so much to live for … so little time
You were my child you were mine
How could we know what fate had in store
Can you ask the Lord?

So many questions are in my brain
Nothing will ever be the same … it’s not the same

So I raised my hands to the sky
Unanswered questions, I get no reply
Tell me the reason give me a sign
Answer me my child of mine
Please answer me my child of mine

Did he know you were coming and on your way
Did he speak to you…what did he say?
What did he say?

Did you know we were crying? Did you say Goodbye?
Did you know you were dying, do you know why?
Please let us know
Did / -you -ask -to -stay? did you want to go?

So many questions are in my brain
Nothing will ever be the same … it’s not the same

So, I raised my hands to the sky
Unanswered questions, I get no reply
Tell me the reason give me a sign
Answer me my child of mine
Please answer me my child of mine
Answer me …My Child of Mine

Our Dearest Trisha,

I pray you are aware of everything here on earth. Your death has become an endless nightmare for me and daddy. We miss you so much and more than that!

I've written OUR book. So much time, love and tears went into this journey of ours. Daddy and I have been on a coaster ride for almost 18 years and in January you will be gone longer than we had you here on earth. I struggle with the fact how life is going on and daddy and I stay the same in grief.

This book "Almost 18" "A Mother's Journey Through Grief" is about us, our love, and how you made me love you more and more every day. Even when I was angry with you.

OUR book is published and available for the world to see and I am thrilled about that although, I wish I had never had the reason for writting this book. I wish you were here. Daddy wrote a very long chapter as well and it is heart wrenching.

We both love and miss you with every breath we take and with every day that passes. Please enter our dreams.

Our hearts ache for you!

Love and tears,

Mommy and Daddy xoxo
